Pantea Konn is a population health data analyst from Brisbane. She holds a Bachelor of Mathematics with First Class Honours from The University of Queensland, specialising in geometry and probability models. Alongside her studies, Pantea has led novel analyses into the performance of several cancer screening programs in the Queensland population. Her background in data engineering and statistics has enabled the delivery and evaluation of several large-scale quality improvement initiatives for these programs. Pantea has represented Queensland Health at national population health conferences, which deepened her interest in epidemiological research and health economics. With her Ramsay Postgraduate Scholarship, she will be supported to pursue an MPhil in Population Health Sciences at Cambridge, to advance her training in health data science. In her research, she hopes to apply geometric techniques to biostatistical methods to better understand causal effects in population health challenges. Post-study, Pantea aims to lead epidemiological and economic evaluations of evolving population health programs and policies.
