Jennifer Tridgell is from Sydney and is the Senior Legal Advisor to the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief, working to safeguard the human rights of people of all faiths and none, worldwide. She is the youngest global board member of the International Law Association in 149 years and has worked at leading international law firms, the International Criminal Court, and NGOs. Jennifer holds a BA (Politics)/LLB (Hons. I) from Macquarie University and LLM (International Law) from Cambridge, where she was the Davis McCaughey Scholar. With her World Universities Ramsay Postgraduate Scholarship, Jennifer will study a PhD (Law) at Cambridge looking into global governance of open-source software, addressing unexplored and interdisciplinary areas for regulatory reform to better safeguard democracy, rule of law and free speech. In the future she wants to work as a barrister, engaging in strategic litigation to raise the voices of the vulnerable and disenfranchised.
