Dr Christopher Watson is a Senior Resident Medical Officer in ICU at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and a Clinical Associate Lecturer at the University of Sydney. He holds a University of Sydney Combined Doctor of Medicine/ Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours with University Medal), as well as a Master of Philosophy (Research) for which he researched congenital causes of blindness. Christopher is passionate about helping children with developmental health issues through genetic research, advocacy and improving our healthcare systems. He is also passionate about community service, having volunteered for organisations including the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health and Holdsworth Community Centre, and successfully completing an English Channel fundraising swim. With his World Universities Ramsay Postgraduate Scholarship, Christopher will study a Master of Philosophy in Population Health Sciences at Cambridge, acquiring key skills needed to help people with a disability. In the future he hopes to work as a clinician/scientist focusing on children with developmental disorders.
