David Cherian

Originally from Brisbane, David Cherian has completed degrees from the University of Queensland and University of Melbourne, in pharmacology and health-policy/economics, respectively. Whilst a student, he studied abroad at Stanford and Emory University in the US in order to expand his understanding of design thinking and public health. David has worked professionally with Deloitte, The Clinton Health Access Initiative, and the Victorian Public Service. David is also an artist who has created multiple works inspired by nature, architecture, biology and philosophy. He is passionate about exploring the intersection of the arts and sciences and is excited to experience the unique educational model at St John’s. With his St John’s College, Annapolis, Scholarship, David will undertake the College’s renowned two-year Master of Arts in Liberal Arts degree and be mentored to secure and participate in an area of interest in Washington, D.C. In the future he hopes to pursue a career in academia.
