Aden Cotterill was born in Brisbane but grew up in Canberra, completing a Bachelor of Science (Psychology)and Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy) at The Australian National University. Following his undergraduate study, he obtained a Master of Arts (Theology) and Master of Theology (Research) from St Marks National Theological Centre at Charles Sturt University, whilst starting the process of ordination in the Anglican Church. This all coincided with a decade of working with adolescents in both church and educational contexts. With his World Universities Ramsay Postgraduate Scholarship, Aden will pursue a PhD in Theology at Cambridge. In his PhD he will examine how increasing pluralism in Western societies fragments or fragilizes belief and how theology can articulate faith and aid belief in this milieu. Aden is passionate about helping young people and serving the Church and Academy in Australia. In the future he hopes his study will help bless and benefit the places he works in.
